Marine borer

Term used to designate many groups of organisms such as algae, sponges, crustaceans, mollusks, echinoderms and bryozoans, which can pierce several substrates, such as shells, rocks and wood, among others.

MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard)

Fiber plate or panel with mass density between 500 and 800 kg / m³. 

MDP (Medium Density Particleboard)

Plate or panel formed by layers of particles of wood bonded with a synthetic resin and submitted to a high temperature and pressure. 

Moisture content

Water content in a particular wood mass, expressed as a percentage of its total mass.
