Wood preparation:
* Perform the previous sanding following the direction of the veins;
* The dust, resulting from sanding, must be removed;
* The surface must be intact, clean, dry (containing less than 20% humidity) and free from fat, oil, grease, loose particles and mold;
* Surfaces with other types of finish must be sanded until they are completely removed.
* The use of remover, insulating varnish or sealer is not indicated.
* Before applying any finish, always use Jimo Cupim Incolor in order to immunize and prevent xylophagous insects, such as termites and wood-borer beetles, from attacking following its indications for use.
Application: Ready-to-use product. The application must be preferably conducted with a Stain brush, being that two layers are indicated for internal use and three to four layers for external use. Apply large strokes, without leaving excess, in the direction of the veins, from end to end, maintaining it wet in order to prevent layer overlapping marks. It is recommended to apply at room temperature, between 10 and 35ºC, and at relative humidity between 40 and 80%. Avoid applying in days with chance of rain or to hot wood. Properly mix the product before and during application. For decks, it is indicated to apply the product to the six faces of the wood. For a less rough, more uniform surface and in order to obtain a more refined finish, it is indicated to slightly sand between the first and the second layer, in the direction of the wood veins, with a sandpaper of 280 to 320 granulation.
Drying: The approximate drying time, at touch, is 30 minutes and, between layers, it is three hours. The total varnish curing occurs within three days.
Maintenance/Reapplication: Reapplication is recommended in the first visual evidences of problems to finish. It is recommended to sand the surface, with sandpaper of 240 to 280 granulation, in order to remove soot and loose particles which may be on the wood and, then, reapply the product.
Yield: The yield varies according to the density/hardness of each wood species.
* Woods up to 800 kg/m³, such as pine, have an average yield of approximately 20 m²/L;
* Woods heavier than 800 kg/m³, such as ipê, have an average yield of approximately 30 m²/L.
The product may have its performance compromised if the yield of application is outside the parameters described above.
Preservation and cleaning: Clean with a cloth slightly moistened with water. Do not use the swimming pool water. Remove leaves or objects which may generate humidity. We do not recommend the use of high pressure washers.
Durability: On external surfaces, over the time, it is normal that some wear and the gradual loss of the finish bright and color occur. Some factors may influence the durability, such as cracks on the wood, the incidence of sunlight, water accumulation and traffic of people. The durability can be shorter when applied to hard and/or resinous wood, such as itaúba, ipê, pine, and others. Any warranty is limited to the replacement of the product. Keep the original invoice of the purchase, the lot number and the shelf life of the product in your possession.
