Place the baits in burrows and other areas where rodents live and travel, so they can feed undisturbed and as many rodents as possible can reach the rodenticide.
Mice tend to sample everything they find, unlike rats, which are wary of anything new and may take several days before they start feeding on the bait.
The number of bait points varies with the level of infestation and the size of the area being treated. As a general rule, place 25 g (0.9 oz) in each burrow and at each bait point, avoiding direct contact with your hands. Wear gloves when handling.
Space bait points 5 to 10 m (16 to 33 ft) apart and position them out of reach of children and pets. Protect the bait from rain and moisture.
After 7 to 10 days, inspect the stations to assess how much bait has been consumed.
Reapply in areas where bait was consumed and, once the treatment is complete, collect any leftover baits from places where none was eaten. Do not discard leftover bait in the environment or in waterways.
